Skylarks are a bird of the countryside so you need to get away from the town to see or hear them. However, if your hearing is good and you walk along the riverside you might pick out its song from the other side of the river.

If you get past Morton along the riverside or the adjacent farmland, and in the springtime you can’t fail to hear Skylarks singing. If you’re very lucky you might spot one, a speck against a blue sky, or see one as it drops to the ground.

Another good place for Skylarks is Beckingham Marsh.
