Plant Life

One of our projects is to carry out a survey of the plant-life which is common in Mercer Wood. To do this we will need volunteers!

If you would like to take part in this project, please contact us.

Susan Bee, one of our members, has spent from April 2011 until now noting any flowers found within the woods or on the adjacent fields. A lot of the flowers shown were in fact found in Wilson Street on the sites of the old demolished houses. Some of the flowers are cultivated species found on the sites of former allotments. You can view images of the plant-life found in our gallery.
